Nesting.... Already??

I've been busy this weekend. And by busy, I mean cleaning, scrubbing, organizing and decluttering. My first task was to go through all of my clothes and decide which ones I was going to donate to Goodwill. The above picture is the result of my purging. I probably have 3 large garbage bags full of clothes that will be donated :) The purpose of all of this effort was three-fold.

1. To donate clothes to those less fortunate

2. To downsize my own wardrobe

3. To allow Eric to have room in our master closet for his stuff.

You see, as of right now, Eric's main closet is the one in his office. This office in a few short weeks will begin the transition to baby K's new nursery. So in order for baby brother to have his own new space it was important that I made room for my husband in our master closet. I would suspect that many husbands and wives have this same problem.... the wife takes over the master closet and bath leaving the husband to find storage for his things elsewhere in the house.

So, my downsizing and reorganizing has now made room for Eric to put his things in our closet. Oh, how I LOVE organization :)

This was my other project yesterday. I've been looking for a new shower curtain for our 2nd bathroom for a LONG time. The other one that we had in there made the room dark and boring. While Riley and I were at Target yesterday, I stumbeled upon this amazing shower curtain.... on clearance... for only TEN dollars!!! It is exactly what I've been looking for. It must have been fate :)

Well, that was our weekend, so far. I expect that I'll tackle more today.

***for some odd reason we can't get pictures from our camera to download to the computer, so these pictures were taken from my phone. I know that the picture quality is not great, but at least you can get an idea of what things look like. I really hope we don't have to buy a new camera....
